Friction Pro was founded in the summer of 2024 by a group of dedicated motorsport enthusiasts who are actively involved in circuit racing and frequent track use.

Before the company was established, the team consistently encountered limitations with existing brake pad solutions in competitive racing environments. Common issues included insufficient and unstable coefficients of friction, rapid heat buildup, brake fade under high temperatures, and accelerated wear rates. Recognizing that braking performance is critical to both lap-time consistency and vehicle safety, the team began formulating a brake pad compound specifically engineered for circuit applications. The objective was to achieve an optimal balance between friction stability, heat resistance, and service life, while delivering superior braking performance.

The development process involved extensive on-track testing, repeated formulation refinement, and real-world validation under competitive conditions. Professional drivers were invited to evaluate performance metrics such as braking response, pedal feel, thermal stability, and wear characteristics, providing essential feedback throughout the R&D phase.

After more than two years of continuous testing and development, Friction Pro successfully engineered a brake pad compound designed exclusively for motorsport use. The final product delivers exceptional stopping power, outstanding durability, and consistent braking performance even under extreme thermal conditions. Initially, the brake pads were developed strictly for internal use, with no commercial release planned. However, due to strong demand and positive feedback from test drivers and racing partners, the decision was made to introduce the product to the market after careful consideration.
